I meet most of GU's Biology students as freshmen in either Biology 101 or 102 Lab. While I hope most of them know me as a competent and helpful biology instructor, they may not know that in my former life, I studied weed control and biology in agriculture and natural areas. In my current role as GU's greenhouse curator, I'm learning and practicing applied horticulture and biological control of plant pests. My third role in the Department is to help provide materials for Biology Department laboratory courses such as 101 Lab and 123 Lab. I enjoy working with the select students who help both in the greenhouse and with laboratory preparation. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, coaching my kids' soccer teams, and volunteering at my children's school.
