About Me

The focus of my work in cell biology is on signaling pathways and how disruption of these pathways results in disease.  Two ongoing studies in my lab include 1) investigating how mutations in a gene called APC affect cell adhesion and migration in colon cells, and 2) exploring how diabetes causes kidney tissue damage.  Both of these projects rely heavily on cell culture techniques and microscopy.
