About Me

I coordinate curriculum and materials for Biology 101 Labs at Gonzaga University. I teach several lab sections each semester. I am also the "Plant Growth Facility" coordinator--one small greenhouse and few growth chambers to manage.

I came here from the University of California, Riverside, where I worked for four years coordinating the research lab of Dr. Jodie Holt.  We studied the biology of agricultural and wild-land weeds, including documenting the introduction and spread of new weeds in California, the emergence of new herbicide resistance among roadside weeds, and controlling the spread of weeds under different management programs in nature preserves.

Before that, I earned my bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and my master's degree in Plant Biology from the University of California, Davis.

I enjoy gardening, adventures with my kids, and playing and watching soccer.
